Trust us, your bicycle needs to fit your body or you're in for an
uncomfortable ride. Height, weight, and riding style all factor into a
bicycle's fit.
Flat tires and crappy brakes don't make for a great ride...but they're preventable. Check your
bike at the beginning of your ride to avoid mechanical brake-downs (oh,
we're so funny).
Walking the walk every day
I love standing up for the opportunity to
travel in "carbon-less" modes-especially when I am prepared with facts and
reasons to tell others why I am making these choices.
Watch for the first "Bicyclist Use Full Lane" sign on
Marshall Ave in St. Paul. It may look like this. The sign acknowledges how
cyclists can travel more safely on the downhill to the river, and alerts
motorists to give clearance by passing in the left lane. Don't be shy—position your bicycle in the center of the lane and hold your position.
