Central Corridor Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan

This study seeks to identify, prioritize, and make recommendations to make the University Avenue area in Saint Paul safer and more accessible for pedestrians and bicyclists. The study will build upon the Central Corridor Development Strategy to determine where bicycle and pedestrian connections can be created or improved to connect with the future Central Corridor light rail line between Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Como Avenue Bicycle & Pedestrian Improvements

This project would reconfigure traffic lanes on Como Avenue to accommodate on-street bicyclists.

Marshall Avenue: Mississippi River Blvd to Cretin Avenue

This project will provide a sidewalk, an eastbound bike lane and "Share the Road" signs for westbound bicyclists on Marshall Avenue between Cretin Avenue and the Lake Street Bridge. Other amenities include countdown timers at the two signalized intersections with pedestrian walk signs, planted medians, bus shelter, bike racks, improved lighting and a dynamic speed display sign.

Jefferson Avenue

The project will provide a dedicated bicycle facility on Jefferson from West
Seventh Street to Mississippi River Boulevard, with connections east from Seventh
Street to Sam Morgan Trail and the Smith Avenue High Bridge.

Smart Trips Union Park

Smart Trips Union Park encourages residents of Union Park to walk, bike, take transit and carpool for everyday errands and trips, and reduce their drive-alone travel.

Minneapolis Bike & Pedestrian Ambassador Program

In 2007 the City of Minneapolis received funding to start a Bike Walk Ambassador program which in partnership with the Bike Walk Twin Cities and other community partners, encourages people in Minneapolis and neighboring communities to bike and walk more and drive less.

Cycloplan

Cycloplan is an extension of Cyclopath, a web-based wiki application that allows users to create, edit, and rate their own bike routes on a regional basemap.

Metro Transit Bike/Ped Improvements Study

This study will examine bicycle and pedestrian connections to its major transit corridors leading into the City of Minneapolis from adjoining jurisdictions.

Griggs Street Bicycle & Pedestrian Facilities

This project will improve bicycle & pedestrian accommodations on Griggs Street from Summit Avenue to Minnehaha Avenue.
